It's.... weird lmao! It's a super weird read, but I can appreciate the pacing and approach the author took for this. It takes courage to make a romance genre when there's such a significant age gap, but a working woman falling for a grade schooler was kind of extreme. Thankful that it stayed cute and pure throughout the entire story, but also a little jaded that yuris are able to get away with this sort of content. Like, nothing bad happened obviously, but thinking about double standards and if this was a working man falling in love with a elementary school little boy, that's strikingly alarming and for yuris to get away with it just has my mind going to dark places. Overall, I loved loved loved the artwork, loved the characters, and loved the storytelling, it was an amazing and beautiful read from beginning to end and would honestly like to see another bonus chapter or second series of them being older.

This is the type of GL oneshots I really enjoy, there was comedy, suspense, light smut, closure, and likable characters- just a little disappointed with how the characters progressed. That "hot, level headed boss who everyone adores" trope is okay to work with if the story is done right, just not sure if it worked as well with a one-shot. With it being the way it was now, everything just seemed to happen way too fast, which, I get it- it's a one-shot, but at least have the characters have some sort of familiarity with one another. The progression from "idol coworker and subordinate to lovers in one night" just seemed to out of place for this kind of story. I do really like this author though, the artwork is always amazing and they make beautiful stories if given the time.

The story started alright, but the ending was kind of bad. Not even because of the twist ending or anything, just out of character for the protagonist. It just seemed like a forced dead dove ending when nothing in the story was leading to it (outside of Rose's affairs, obviously). I really don't have much to critique on this one, like most of their works, its just smut and beautiful art. The story could have been a lot better. Sadly, I do think Bad Thinking Diary might have been the author's one hit wonder, because the stories they have been putting out since then have been kind of poor.
