I didn't expect to cry as much as I did. I full on bawled multiple times between chaps 40-60. The FL's trauma really does run deep. I am used to reading badass, cold hearted villainesses, so I wasn't expecting a FL with a docile and kind nature. At first, I was annoyed by how weak she was, but as the chapters passed, I really resonated with her trauma and the way she has suppressed all of her wounds. She is strong in her own way, even if she doesn't come up with complicated schemes to overthrow those that traumatize and trouble her. The fact that she is patient and willing to move forward shows her strength. I cried so much for her. The plot is pretty standard, and while I disliked the the ML at first, he really grew on me once he slowly realized the FL's perspective and her trauma.
