Mc2 was a dick for like 25/34 chapters. Like I barely liked him except for him being attractive. He was an asshole. Though, there were times I thought mc1 and mc2 had feelings for each other since back when they were in tennis camp together. It was one stupid fucking scene that ruined their relationship until they met again in the beginning of the story. They almost kiss, but mc1 panics and pushes mc2 away. Mc2 misconstrued that and took it to the extreme by thinking mc1 was homophobic, so he spouted all this bullshit about how kissing a guy would be disgusting (paraphrasing). Mc1 was stunned but didn’t want mc2 to hate him so he agreed with it. Only, agreeing with it only ruined their relationship bc mc2 was in love with him. Tbh I don’t usually like flashbacks but I wish this had a Netkama Punch-esque flashback where we saw the beginning of the story and then continued all the way through to the scene where the flashback occurred. Want to know what was going through mc2’s head during all the times he was being an absolute DICK. Also, plot hole bc mc1 kisses this guy in front of mc2 in the beginning and yet mc2 still firmly believed mc1 was homophobic. Honestly, this story made me sad even though it ends happy. Loved the plot twist where mc2 agrees to divorce mc1 in front of the king. Then he says that according to tradition, he has to give up his Duke title and his assets. He does so, then introduces mc1 and says that since he was now no longer a noble, he was going to marry the person he loved. Fav scene throughout the entire book omg. Though, last chapter was pretty good too when it’s revealed that mc2 had been planning for that situation for a long time. He created private loans for poor people and was the only investor, so when he lost all of his assets, the loans had to be nullified. People rioted, and that meant the parliament and the king had to give him his title and assets back bc having a Duke who married a man was better than having citizens riot.

Waiting for more chapters. Added: Friday, February 16th, 2024. Edit: read on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025. I’ve put this off for a longgg time. Over a year. Finally read it today and ofc it’s a fucking cliffhanger. Mc2’s stalker chokes mc1 and mc2 shows up. The stalker tells mc1 that mc2 is mc1’s stalker. It’s clear that mc2 met mc1 when they were still in high school, but only saw mc1 from afar so mc1 doesn’t know him. Apparently mc2 might’ve turned mc1 into an omega cuz of his pheromones?? Anyway, this is really good. They both clearly like each other but mc2 is kind of an orange flag. He’s really freakin sweet to mc1 and seems like a green flag but then he assigns people to watch mc1 bc of the stalker and doesn’t say anything about it. He also hasn’t told mc1 that he’s liked him in secret for years. Kinda sad that mc1 wasn’t actually pregnant. The smut is hot even though it seems like there’s a bit too much of it. Wish they could be more honest with each other, but hopefully that’s coming soon. Chapter 43 is supposed to come out today, so I’m eagerly anticipating an update.
