Story isn't that scary and is more action-based, but if H.P. Lovecraft's monsters really existed then humanity is doomed.

I don't like where this story is heading. Need more background on her brother and her fallen country. Tons of plotholes and questions. Does she really not have any previous connections than just the ML considering how she was a former princess??? Was the ethnic cleansing that bad she doesn't have anyone to help her at all besides the ML thats being shoved all up in our faces????
