3.8 stars “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” spoilers I am so glad that jaewoo and hyeonjin finally get the happy ending they deserve. They went through a lot and sacrificed so many things for each other. My heart melts when they kissed at the end. I like both the MC and the ML. Jaewoo, who transmigrated as the original lousy side top, is really cute, kind-hearted and it’s enjoyable to see him cook it makes me crave korean food. I love the details and the art style of the food too. Hyeonjin, the original MC, is someone I rooted for from the beginning. I love how despite turning into an ML, he still have the traits of a main character esp the most common trope in kbls ‘living a pathetic life and paying off debt’. It’s quite refreshing to see an ML who is not filthy rich, struggling in life, soft and emotional and being taken cared of by the MC. I feel bad for Mujin thou, the original ML and the crazy top. I feel like he should have ended up with someone too. He deserves it after he decided to let jaewoo go to be with the love of his life. Though there are some moments that make me ask a lot of questions and some characters are not fleshed out properly like Mujin. Im not quite sure why he became obsessed with MC, maybe it’s the food i dont know. At least there was a blossoming romance between the main pairing. But really, jaewoo is so ship-able with all the prominent men in this story. Also fvk jaewoo’s best friend hes literally obsessed with him. Glad his sister gave in and let jaewoo returned to the novel. She deserves a cookie

Not really into harem stories but fvkng heck all the men here are all so freaking gorgeous. The MC is so so pretty and the men surrounding him are all eye candies my mouth waters. Though Im rooting for the white haired guy but damn that other man who looks somewhat like Hua Chengzhu makes my insides tickle

FL got transmigrated as the abandoned youngest princess who are doomed to perish by the hand of the ML, such a typical transmigration story. But the twist this time is she loves cooking and she is gonna cook for shit and that is all that matters to her to the point that she doesn’t care about what happens to her eventually. Yea she is such an amazing cook that the ML who was cursed with a terrible taste buds suddenly is able to taste real food for the first time because of her cooking. I actually enjoy when FL is cooking she is so fun and kinda funny as a character, thou Im not fond of her character design. I also think this would still be entertaining without the romance but damn does this story gets kinda dark. I think my favorite character is the eldest princess, she really embodies a female main character. Also happy ending

3.8 stars Hua Cheng: I am forever your most devoted believer second novel Qin Xian: I am forever your most loyal dog contains spoilers This is wild and chaotic but insanely good. The first story is kinda insane because the way Wang Yi (MC) bullies his younger bro (non-biological/also the ML) makes me speechless. His actions are cruel and ruthless but his inner monologues—in pink bubbles—are the opposite. WY is such a pro when it comes to acting like the biggest bully/villain and making his baby bro’s life miserable his little ass deserves an oscar. If not for the mind reading ability of Qin Xian (ML) I bet hes gonna cut off his limbs and put him in a jar OG SQQ style. Every time young wy bullies young qx my jaw drops to the floor—he would beat him up, push him off the balcony, blindfold him and lock him up in a closet—and they’re literally just kids I’m speechless. But the ML is such a masochist it’s kinda hilarious. He also didn’t question this transmigration shit and him being the male lead of a novel which he learned through mind reading. Since he knows his big bro secretly cares for him a lot, he develops this extreme obsession towards him. WY needs to bully QX for the plot to progress (the supposed FL is meant to be his emotional support meow meow) however, as the plot and ML’s obsession thicken, wy unconsciously steals the role of the female lead (and her appearance as well). Everything feels dramatic in the first novel and the ending is bittersweet I feel like slapping someone. The second book is a zombie infested, post-apocalyptic world where WY is an evil landlord and QX is his loyal subordinate (until wy betrayed him for the plot). I like the second novel Qin Xian. He’s more levelheaded and rational. He didnt develop an obsession right away and he basically hates second novel WY because he’s the biggest bad guy. Even after he develops mind reading ability, he still questions wy’s intentions (since his actions contradict his inner thoughts). The faces he make every time he reads wy’s thoughts are hilarious. I also like the second novel FL, Bai Mo, shes such a badass girlboss. It’s just frustrating that wy x qx romantic relationship didn’t develop into an established one despite qx acquiring first novel qx’s memories and the ending is also not a happy one. Though wy makes a promise of staying by qx’s side and not leaving him in their next life
