So, yeah there's a consent issue, but it's not for the act of sexual intercourse. As a matter of a fact the FL is MORE than willing to have sex with the ML. The consent issue is with the marking her as "his", but there's also the whole high society thing and "women are submissive" in this world... I'll continue

It's nice to see a married couple actually engage is sexual activities with each other, you know, like a married couple does!! So many of these stories skirt the issue like it doesn't exist, but in noble society consummation and having an heir is HUGE! So, yes praise for at least showing it, even the central reasion behind their relationship is she "can't have kids". Am I a horrible person for wanting her to remain without a child that is biologically hers? What's so bad about showing them as a happy family with Damien as their son? Why MUST she have a child? And we know she's going to have a child there's ALWAYS a child. I've lost a lot of interest in this story with the current plot direction. Part of the reason I LIKED this whole thing was the idea that she would be childless, as that was a condition of their marriage.

So I'm not entirely happy with how Adele handled the whole "make him confess his love to me" part of the plot, honestly I think she was being a bit manipulative which is never good in a relationship. But I do like that she's a strong woman that can and will fight for what she wants.

I was hoping that this wouldn't go down the cliche route, and that Mia would fall for someone else, but NOPE! Damnit! Why must things be so damned predictable and cliche! Bad writing!!!!
