The Hounds of Sisyphus
Even though he has a terrible childhood and quite lost in life in that regard, he’s so much better at understanding his own emotions and just being emotionally intelligent in general in comparison to other mls Tihiiii, how flirty WHAT-13 just speculating, but I hope he has like a zombie side to him and that’s the reason he got disgusted with teach’s kiss “its just that i remember when MC had a dream where everybody was blaming him for these things to happen? yeah, i think it's because there is somebody that is probably turning into a zombie inside the town without guwon being awared of. i saw the comment here when they said that the kid is probably turning into a zombie :( but they won't tell it or rather they'd just keep it hidden. a breakout might happen inside the town and they fear guwon to know because he surely love the town and is willing to do whatever just to protect it. Now going back, they blame MC in his dream because Guwon gives his full attention to MC ever since he came to the town. That's my guess to this story baby i hope they have a happy ending ” I keep on forgetting that they are in an apocalypse. “ i feel as though in the future, mcs gunna do something worthy of punishment and guwons not gunna be able to kill him” “I'm thinking over what has sort of happened the past few chapters and I'm wrapping around a running theory. I think this might be a time loop. Sisyphus is all about doing a task in the hopes of accomplishing it only to fail and then have to repeat it over and over. Like rolling the boulder up a hill only for it to fall back down. What if time is repeating somehow in an attempt to have something change and Jinwoo is deeply involved in that change. Guwon has an intense feeling of needing to protect the town, like there's something inside of him that knows the town is destroyed in another timeline. He even says he woke up and "it was like everything had already been decided". Guwon, a pretty inhuman being, is specifically is changing and is seemingly craving that change and Jinwoo is the catalyst. We can see him change in his reaction to Jinwoo. He likes Jinwoo, but he begins by not engaging much with kissing. Then his attitude switches after Guwon is tired. For the first time EVER he falls asleep because Jinwoo is next to him. He specifically notes this after he wakes up and sees Jinwoo sleeping next to him having been by his side the whole time. After that he starts kissing him WAYY more passionately like he recognizes Jinwoo is different on a fundamental level. They have sex and he specifically says about wanting to learn more from Jinwoo, like he's trying to evolve. Jinwoo asks why Guwon gave him the ring and he replies "It means you're my one and only in this whole world." This phrasing is I think intentionally vague and meant to make you think of it in a romantic sense, but I think it's meant to mean more than that. Like Guwon has recognized that he needs Jinwoo. In this latest chapter he is ECSTATIC that he was right: Jinwoo IS DIFFERENT and calls him out when he's wrong. Jinwoo as well has memory issues. He can't remember much before he was hit and it was clearly something traumatic. The memories he could be struggling with could be previous timeline memories. That's maybe why he always has nightmares and why he attacked Guwon in his sleep at the beginning of the story. In chapter 14 we see his nightmare: he is surrounded by the towns people who blame him. "This is all your fault. You did this. In the end, we all died because of you." We can see Gyeongha and the doctor hovering over him with blood on them like they were dead. Jinwoo questions why he keeps having nightmares. This is before Jinwoo finds out about Guwon's violent side so he has no reason to fear for their lives yet. Why IS Jinwoo having these nightmares which seem new to him and involve the town folk blaming him for their deaths? Likely because that's exactly what happened in the other timeline and he is having fragmented memories of that time.” “ Now that I think about it, the beginning where Jinwoo was saved from the robber could be unreliable narration. His brain may have changed it due to the shock of his father being murdered right in front of him, and the reality came through in nightmares. If it’s been 3-4 weeks, “the body has begun to liquefy, with everything breaking down. Nails and teeth fall out.” (Skin is still intact and not bloated, which IMO matches the drawings in ch 23 of the thin hand) It can still be somewhat identifiable, especially with the hair now visible. At first I thought that he was mistaking the body as his father because it was too decomposed, but now I think that that’s not the case, though I wish it was. Imagine the turmoil of seeing the person you loved pop up with a smile while you’re holding your DEAD FATHER WHO THEY KILLED. I can’t believe I thought Guwon was actually a cute puppy after he was totally unphased by committing murder in the first chapter. He probably would have killed Jinwoo if not for the teaching certificate. I don’t think he’s human, with all of the strange things and white eyes. Agree or disagree? I’m curious for opinions and theories since my friends don’t read this.” “ I don’t think guwon killed his dad but he maybe kill the stranger that was trying to rob jinwoo. I think because of his memory loss he is getting everything jumbled up! And I feel like this is going breed a whole misunderstanding arc that will be probably be chapters long. But I still think Guwon is some sort science experiment maybe he is the outcome they were looking for when putting the virus out there but it went out of control before 1. Guwon woke up or 2. Before he was infected. I don’t think he is some fallen god like some have mentioned before”
