Characters are well written and well distinguishable, every couple has its own dynamic and develops trough the main storyline along side the main couple; sorta of an enemies to lovers. The premise it’s a bit simple, it’s a twisted school-life story and if i had to describe it to an experienced reader i’d say “imagine YBC but has plot”.
My prejudice about this serie was that of a trashy BL which is longer than 3 volumes just bc it’s full of rape and kinky shit, and you know what? It is, BUT IT’S NOT EVEN HALF BAD- I mean! There are some things that don’t really make sense, some situations and reactions aren’t credible as they don’t hold much sense of realism, but HEY! It is a manga, it is fiction, it doesn’t really want to portray reality! Everything just make sense in the end in a pleasing way, and there aren’t significative plot holes; overall i admit Caste Heaven is quality content.
You should read this short serie especially if you’re looking for something magnetically entertaining with some SPICE. Still there are many sex scenes, but everything is more or less contextualised and between the characters there is real romantic intention so honestly, as a yaoi manga, i’d say it’s not even as heavy as it may seem. Middly toxic, but manageable.
I enjoyed this serie to the point i forced myself to buy the physical copy of the manga, totally worth my money; would recommend it and won’t stop talking about it for a while!!
