It seems like the seme is just really head over heals in love with the uke. But after the main story ends you find out how manipulative the seme is and how he was able to control the whole situation. It's clear that a relationship based on deceit won't last and after time the uke will recognize the abuse he's in and either be strong enough to leave or have someone to help him get away.
