It's looking more like current Enzou art and the story is so emotional. Tsundere uke brothers, cold beauties, and loud-mouthed and kind-hearted semes who fall in love with them and drag them into love. I loved the secondary story, older brother Makoto constantly in the shadow of his perfect baby brother's achievements, who just wants to be loved for who he is and goes along with his coworker asking him out. Very gentle, very tender story <3

This is cute, though the getting together part always happens a little forcefully and 'no' is not taken for an answer. I came here because this was nominated for a BL award, but it's not really my thing - though it's a true friends-to-lovers story, with experimentation taken to the extreme and a blurry line between 'friend like' and 'lover like' (actually not a bad take on sexuality - they see it layered, being able to have sex with a guy because they like that guy as a friend a lot).

Hoka ni Riyuu Nante Nai Deshou

Complete | Sakurata momota | 2019 released

Very sweet stories about unrequited love and people getting together to get over that (the second seme is in love with the first uke and I'm guessing there will be a third pairing that never got to fit into the story). The first couple (both students) is the most wholesome and the seme, Tsuyoshi, is so considerate (he shoves a finger up his ass to see what it's like and as a consequence he stops having sex :))). Teacher x student pairing is a little less fluffy and the teacher is such a sweetheart and deserves the world.

The other couple was not that spicy after all, still like Yonemura's story better (he gets half of this story as well).

Incredible, amazing, lovely!!! I'm so blown away by this story, absolutely took me by surprise, did not expect it to be that good (and to have 4 ongoing volumes, the bliss!). There are two couples and tbh the starting POV (Kitagawa) is actually the less interesting of the 4 men in this - my faves are best buddies Natsume and Tomita (and, man, I fell for Tomita as well, he's such a sweetheart). The story manages to trick and avoid all cheap BL tropes and paints healthy and mature, communication-based relationships and it's such a warm and comfortable atmosphere that I wanted to read a hundred chapters of this. Saito just proposed to Tomita and I can't wait to see how the other couple react. It's licensed in German ;__; maybe the rest of Europe will pick it up. Otherwise I'll probably have to take the plunge, won't I? Edit: 5 volumes, Renta is getting it out and fucking Harudaki has it scanlated up to date. I hate that group. Edit: Bought the first 3 volumes in French at homocon with my baby. I had an absolute blast there!

I'm reading this on futekiya and it's surprisingly engaging, though I'm skipping a lot (ongoing translation with 8 volumes out and complete in Japan with 10, that's a whole saga in yaoiland). Two main couples and I'm digging the tsundere brother, though I hate the humiliation the seme must endure (they never actually get to fuck in 8 whole volumes, it's always either one-sided or someone comes too soon - it's the seme). Edit: They fuck at the end of vol. 8 and seme is drunk off his skull and won't remember a thing the next day. As a side note, I'm always happy whenever I see a really long BL series - this one has 10 volumes spanning ten years (though only about 2 in the story) and isn't it great that there was demand for it for that long? Tsundere bro gets less tsundere, though still an abrasive ass, and everyone is happy and it's such a feel-good series. My relationship with Yamamoto Kotetsuko's work is so complicated
