Ch 40 Ch 39 recap: Juergen (black hair) and Joachim (blonde) both work for "the Sia"; Juergen was the spy Shadow who had infiltrated the Knights Templar. The Sia is trying to prevent the Lord Of New York (female dragon sleeping underground) from waking up, while Knights Templar is trying to... Kill the Lord of New York? It turns out that Juergen is actually a DRAGON! Child of the Lord of New York, but he has never changed into dragon form in all 32 years of his life and doesn't want to. Ch 38 Probably 4.5 stars EDIT: probably 3.5-4 stars. Mountain king training arc was too long and I'm annoyed with how Elric treats his friend Sean. I love Sean. North camellia is next - the more demons he devours the more Mephisto becomes powerful though - Elric went to yeti people and took first Mervinger test under Otto Han Mervinger; battled Snow King or something and got another seal - Mervinger legacy is to devour demons and protect against evil or something - Sean Nerester is the bestest friend of Mervinger - the Dean Verdux tried to have Mervinger killed, wants his amulet, wants to be Minister, wants rights to the dragon den - found dragon nest and accidentally unleashed demon prince of original sin Mephistopheles. Ephisto tried to possess him with the power of the dragon but Mervinger amulet let him "devour" Mephisto instead (seals of demons he's devoured show up on arm) - Elric Mervinger had Mana Avascularity a.k.a. mana blockage disease. Super duper scholar and theoretician but couldn't use magic
