On a firsthand account, I was in search of a new anime to watch. Unsuspectingly, I found Claymore. I had finished the anime itself in a day or two, and I remember being so infatuated with it, that I found a love for the weapon claymore. Since then, I’ve been interested in many things, such as wishing for a claymore of my own. For years tho, I have left the feeling and memories of the anime Claymore, forgotten in time. Only now, after coming across TikToks of the anime, did I rediscover my love for the anime. Back then, I was already well aware of the manga itself but for god knows why, I never took it upon myself to read it. Not until last night, where I found myself staying up all night finishing the entirety of this manga. The anime’s ending is completely different than the one in the manga. But I think to each their own. I loved the ending in the manga even more, and I’m glad that I read past the parts that the anime left off from, it was as if adventuring through the unknown of the plot. I loved every bit of this manga, to the very soul. I will always treasure the journey that I went through to get me back to this. Thank you to the author for bringing back a love that I had long forgotten, and for creating such an amazing dark fantasy anime.
