Secret Relationship

Complete | McQueen Studio | 2019 released

i thought mc would be more clever but seems like all those years of studying served absolutely nothing. sunghyeon is also dumb af for sticking with a guy who was just screwing him over back and forth the whole story (if you can even call it that). i liked how haemin's manipulation tactics were written, and soohyun's not that bad of a character if you read the story far enough. i'll admit that's what kept me hooked for a while, but i despised everything else.

Bound to Be Fools

Complete | Gahyun | 2019 released

i found the story interesting at the start, but it eventually became like another one of those melodramatic k-dramas where i stop taking it seriously midway. in this case, that moment was when chisoo's personality took a complete 180 for no apparent reason. it was good that the two main characters split up after everything that happened, but i couldn't care about their ending. jungkwon and kangjin had more chemistry with the other characters than with each other, and they're both very... complicated. people are throwing a lot of shit at jungkwon, but personally, kangjin is the shallowest character among all of them. his motivations revolve around having daddy issues and acting recklessly for the sake of love, with literally no external factors being affected by the terrible decisions he makes (seriously, it didn't even look like this guy attempted suicide at the start) despite being involved with the alleged most dangerous man among the gangsters in the city or something. i just couldn't like him at all.

Redeem: Only One Forever

Complete | Scarlet Beriko | 2000 released

seeing all the praising comments and high ratings makes me feel crazy for disliking this even persisted on reading to the end to make sure i wasn't insane cuz i'd be trying to kill someone too if a man in his nearly 30s was allegedly flirting with my fifth-grade sibling. the fact that they didn't do anything when hangyeol was still a kid doesn't make this any better like some of you seem to think man... taehyuk may have never admitted to any kind of feelings for him but the fact that he decided to wait until he reached the age from where they previously met (which makes this even more disgusting to me) kinda implies he did fall in love with him when he was 11. and him meeting hangyeol's 21yo self for a brief moment doesn't change anything. MC is almost proclaiming his love for him to everyone yet there isn't a single responsible adult who tried to put a stop to their weird relationship other than his braindead brother who was then refuted with "age and gender have nothing to do with liking another human being." ig makes sense to have that type of mindset when you managed to date a middle aged man in your early 20s huh? this all felt like pure shotabait to me.
