That was such a beautiful story. I'm literally just done crying as I'm writing this review. It's been a long time since I've been read a story this beautiful, touching, and emotional. At first, I really didn't know what I was expecting of the story. I was actually creeped out of Satomi cuz of all Chikara's pics in his room thinking he was a stalker so thats on me. The story build up is just so good and as it goes on it feels like I was starting to understand Satomi's character and his thoughts and feelings especially towards Chikara. I really thought he was gonna be some kind of red flag but turns out he's the greenest of them all. I really misunderstood him and that made me like him more and more. Relating to the translators comments in the afterword, it really makes you happy knowing that Satomi, after all his sufferings and frustrations for the future, he finally found the light of his life, someone that made his traumas disappear, a shoulder he can lean on, someone he'll be with forever of his life, someone that understands his past and doesn't undermine it, someone that understands him for who he is, Chikara. I think what made me really cry is I was reminded of Ash from Banana Fish, kind of similar to his experiences and how he found that special someone in his life. I really wanted this story to be Ash and Eiji's ending to their story too. But focusing on this one, I just didn't expect this. I've actually been putting listening to the BLCD cuz of reasons lol (y'know what it is). But I realized on what I've been actually missing off. This is the type of story that I like. This deepness in the characters stories and pasts and the plot twists that make you think, the dialogues that make you cry. That even if there's usual patterns in the BL it still makes you appreciate it and actually adds meaning to the story like when Satomi purposefully avoided Chikara because he was afraid of what he would think about him and that he might hurt him like his father did to his mother. I believe it's everything I love in a series. 1. The story 2. The beautiful art 3. The blcd and seiyuus It's so perfect I give it 100/10. Will definitely recommend and hopes that it gets adapted to a drama or anime I will surely watch it!!!! Last one - I love how Satomi is so gentle with Chikara especially during the bs. Omg I actually forgot to mention the story about his tattoos and my favorite line in the story. His tattoos were part of his trauma with the sound of needle constantly in his head, but Chikara gave meaning to the once, meaningless tattoo he got when he was young. My fav line is "I hope I can see the world through your eyes too."
