cute!! <— old 2020 comment… my comments sure have gotten more expressive. anyways.. it’s so surreal to think that the first time i read this was back in 2020. i was a completely different person then—at a completely different stage of my life, with different thoughts, dreams, and even a different relationship status. now it’s 2025. five whole years have passed since that first read, and so much of my life has changed. i’ve been in a committed relationship for four years now, i live with my boyfriend, i have an amazing career, and i’m almost done with college. in 2020, i was still in high school, stuck at home during lockdown, feeling like life was on pause. the contrast between then and now is overwhelming in the best way. it’s also wild to think about how, when this story first came out, 2027 felt like this distant, almost unimaginable future. even the scenes set in 2024 felt so far ahead, and now i’m here—2025—living beyond that point. and suddenly, 2027 is only two years away. i know that more will change in the next two years, and i hope it’s just as positive. life really is such a blessing, and seeing how much i’ve grown alongside these characters makes me feel strangely emotional. it’s amazing how much can change over time—both in stories and in real life. this was such an amazing heart story. there is nothing inappropriate that happens in the story—it’s just really well done. what i really appreciate about this one in particular is that they focus a lot on what it means to come out and struggle with your sexuality, which seems to be easily glossed over in these types of stories. i guess that makes sense since it’s for a female audience, and most of these stories don’t really focus on the realities of being a queer person in these societies, but i wish more stories would play out like this one. i really enjoyed it. i can’t say it enough. it felt very nostalgic to look back on this one. oh, and also, i found out that the song “wherever you are” is one that i discovered while reading this story in particular. i knew i found it from a story, but i wasn’t sure which one, so it felt really nice to relive that nostalgia factor. this was an amazingly well-done story, and i would recommend it to anyone.

both of the tops are so WEIRD but i LOVE IT - okay so i read this again like 5 years later and here’s my updated thoughts with more yaoi knowledge: I wish the focus of the story was more on the main couple, especially since the name of the story is viewfinder. I didn’t dislike the second couple. I just don’t understand why people prefer them when the main couple is better in my opinion. this story just kind of turned into the side couple story and we just kind of forgot about the main couple which was kind of frustrating. also both of the tops were not weird. It was just both of the male leads were weird. I kind of regret choosing to reread this one. I reread this one because I thought there would be some scenes in it, but there was like little to know scenes. It’s kind of crazy. I’ve read some amazing stories so these ones just aren’t as good in comparison and the Art was very meh
