what made this story so great was how unique the characters are. you can see that one of them is a very flawed and morally questionable character, especially as a partner, but their dynamic works so well. the two of them really are soulmates, and the author did an amazing job of having the side stories tie into the main story. the side stories don’t actually relate to the exact plot of the main story, but they’re all fantastically done and entertaining all the way through. the plot wasn’t dragged at all, and the art style improved throughout. genuinely, genuinely, genuinely so fucking good. i’ve wanted to read something like this for so long. i’m so glad i did — please, please, please read it.
