The Duke's Servant

Complete | Oh yun,Morning | 2019 released

Just going to say, I've read about a lot of nobility mangas, manhwa, and manias but this Duke is the weirdest so far. That's saying something. I really appreciate Linlin; She's not dumb but she's frustrating because she knows exactly her situation but has to deal with fighting her emotions the entire way. When she gives in to those emotions, we can only expect the consequences to burn her paths of escape. I left off ch.96 and I'm eager to see how this turns out for her. I'm really hoping there's no tragedy; I've been checking the tags to be sure. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the yandere characters here, like really spices things up. I can only hope the Prince is really a good guy and cares for her. Then, if dummy duke and precocious prince can team up for her, Leonard could be taken down. I've never felt such impending doom from a villain, like Leonard is the real deal when it comes to building expectations and putting on the pressure as a villain. Can you guess who are the yandere? Hint, there is more than one there, crazy for love. Fight on Linlin! Escape and defeat the real villain!

The Lady's Law of Survival

Ongoing | Irim,Yeyoung,Yumyum | 2019 released

I thought this art looked familiar; no wonder the characters reminded me so much of Ibelin and Arwin with black hair. I look forward to this. I appreciated the somewhat gradual weight loss, though realistically it would have taken at least 6 months, but manhwa logic. I hope this female lead is more smart and clever; I'm hoping for a cool and cold MC this time. A different flavor than Miss-Not-So-Sidekick, which I also really enjoyed.

Suddenly Became a Princess One Day

Complete | Plutus,Spoon , 스푼 | 2018 released

It's been such a journey reading this; I honestly remember finding this as the novel first, so seeing the art was so heartrending. I really look forward to how this story further develops. Ideally, I wish Jeannette happiness because she is just as much a victim in the story as Athy and Claude; it really revolves around their delicate balance now. We are now finding that the original story might not have ended as happily beyond the novel as we and Athy expected. So, it's really nerve wracking to feel that looming tragedy tag hiding around a corner. My ideal ending is that Jeannette learns to love herself and create her own family instead of yearning for the delusion. I hope Athy and her stay friends because they genuinely like each other; Athy would live blissfully for 7-10 more years by Claude's side before marrying, if she wants which is hinted in this Author's other stories. If any of you know, the rumor is that Claude refuses to let Athy marry because he wants to spend more time with her, which she allows, so she does not marry until 25 or 28, which is late in their culture. But, we don't know which love interest she chooses. The story is completely different from Athy's world, so they are the only ones who can really understand each other's pain: fear of abandonment, loneliness, and yearning for love. I truly hope to see Claude dote on Athy more, especially once he realizes she has two suitors he needs to kill-- I mean fend off for a while. I honestly appreciated the author's subtle hint through Athy that romance is taking a back seat, family drama will be the focus in the upcoming season. I hope Ezekiel finds happiness too, but I just don't see him winning against our magician unless Luke decides to sacrifice himself for Athy. I can totally see him giving up his immortality/ longevity for her. I want Luke to live! Claude's brother seemed like a total clod fish, but like Claude we may be misunderstanding him because of the narrow view of the novel. The world has expanded and is exploring developments beyond the novel now, so there could be some misunderstanding behind the brothers and the use of black magic. It could still be a whole coup-de-at, but I sincerely hope Jeannette gets a family member. So, I'm routing for Jeannette to change that idiot brother's heart, so Athy and Claude can be spared. Moreover, can we please see Lily and Sir Robain crying tears of happiness as well? I'd love to see them at Athy's wedding in an epilogue time skip. If possible, I ship them, but if they prefer to be single I respect that too.

Sincerely: i Became a Duke’s Maid

Ongoing | Roha, Joo A-ra | 2019 released

I was super surprised in Ch.55, like Ibee, I respect and fear you. Please go be happy with the Duke. I also have a theory, tell me if it should stand or I'm just dreaming of a fanfic but, what if Ibee was related to Elenora's imperial family? They said it only made sense that Elenora cured the Duke in the novel because she was a princess of that country, so does this mean Ibee and Elenora could be related? I mean Ibee never found out her past or identity where she transmigrated. We don't know how long she has been working for the Duke if we include before the time of her transmigration. It just seems suspicious. Also, I think her eyes are really unique; it conveys her mischievousness and grace. I feel like eye color plays a role in this story, maybe we will find out later? I really hope we get a beautiful wedding scene.

Surviving As A Maid

Ongoing | Heeseo,Cloud whale soap | 2020 released

Ok, so I've caught up to ch.21 and heard about some spoilers; the story has such great potential. I really hope if the spoilers for the novel are true, then the manhwa should do it different. I really want to see what Ash finds out and what she decides to do. As she survives, how does she influence the Prince? Does she save anyone? Will she find out any plots and stop them? Please don't disappoint! I'm honestly hoping this won't turn out to be a harem and focuses more on plot and Ash's interactions.

The Young Lady is A Royal Chef

Ongoing | Risha,Paya | 2020 released

I cannot stay silent to this story; while I appreciated the MC's talent for cooking, her attitude adjusting felt pretty basic. She wasn't trying to hide she was a different person because she used the NDE as an excuse to change, which is great but like I saw no flustering and adjustment--which was too much whiplash and broke the fantasy for me. The grandfather and brothers are trash for being oblivious, like I can totally see family be oblivious to self destructive behavior because they want to ignore it and pretend to be a normal perfect family; these guys are aristocrats too focused on image and status to see anything else. BUT, they said she looks unhealthy like a living corpse! Those are physical signs of abuse and or neglect pompous dumb wads! Then, that blonde snake new she flinched or hated being touched, how did he not question that? Did they seriously think it was normal for her to be that way?? The former Sienanna clearly wanted help and tried to get it, but when everyone ignored her and hated her instead she could only grow bitter and return that hate, looking to death as the only escape. (o~^-~'o)*cries sympathy* Like dang! So freaking frustrated reading this until chapter 14, I was honestly continuing only for the face slapping. MC is calm but overall feeling pretty basic with her lovely smiles, which is kind of cringe, considering her own past and knowing Sienanna's situation. I believe people with traumatic pasts can smile the brightest, but it felt misplaced in MC's situation because of all the abuse and being aware of how others should see Sienanna. Maybe it's more accurate to say it felt too abrupt? Like, I respect and loved her initiative, usually works for transmigrators, but I think it would have settled with me better if she stuck with a poker face with an occasional small smile instead of that beaming energetic one so suddenly. I'd love to see a development toward that smile, instead of the jump. Does that make sense? I'll read further for the food and face slaps, hopefully there will be more discription and detail regarding the food. Compared to other foodie filled stories, it felt like a shallow approach so far considering we've only seen people really eating. The cooking felt more like a fading memory, though they mention her experience a good bit. Would have also liked to see her adjust her techniques to that world. Seriously, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if MC turned out to be a saintess they've been wanting. She totally will; my intuition does not lie. I bet that's why they treat her so much better later and chase after her. Truly, the maid is my favorite right now. She is the friend and support we always wanted. I want to see them run away together; of course, I mostly want to see MC faceslapping all those fools before we get to any sweet family fluff. I got so frustrated reading this, especially with those freaking pages on how handsome the guys were, like girl snap out of it. These guys blamed the victim when she tried to commit suicide; to be honest, I think it was attempted murder now, not suicide. MC mentioned remember one of the maid holding the rope for when she was abused, what if she held the rope to hang Sienanna too? Anyways, give our MC backbone! I don't care about that freaking family and their toxic pride!

The Daughter of the Elemental King

Ongoing | Gureumbit,Kkool cha | 2019 released

Everyone here just dishing out how neglectful the father was, when both her parents were being pretty selfish. The mother had a child and gave up her life without her partners input or consent. And the father we know sent her to a completely other world so he wouldn't be reminded of the beloved he lost. The only responsible thing he did was specifically deliver her to the beach where he knew a loving family would adopt her. I didn't care for how easily she seemed to accept her family forgetting her in our world. I would really like if the story revisited how stressful and traumatizing her situation is a: a child abducted from the world she new as home, a new genderless body which she feels dysphoric in because she lived 17 years as a woman and still identifies as one, and everyone forgets she went through the trauma of experiencing human trafficking. Yeah, the story does not take much of this seriously and keeps it lighthearted and comical, but I think it would be effective it they let her feel her frustration and feelings. If they could give or show us how these experiences are causing her to act the way she did to cope, then I think her character can be saved and given some actual development. I am honestly here reading just to see Elemental Dad acknowledge her as his daughter. Clearly, despite never expecting or wanting a child, he had a preference for a son. It took him 17 years to face his child, that he basically put up for adoption or "left on a door step." And he didn't even check the gender, which means the preference was never going to be more important than the love he had for the mother, and gradually their child. He was not the kind of person who had prepared enough love in his heart for more than one beloved. But, I'm here for the development. I need to see them bond as a family. I'm wishing Elemental Dad sends her back out of guilt only to watch her from afar. Then, she actually chooses to come back after spending some quality time and saying her goodbyes. Realizing, she can travel between the worlds. The only other event I'm waiting for is when all the hot guys realize Dad is a Spirit King, making our MC the first and only Spirit Princess, beloved by all Spirit Kings.
