Black bird is actually lowkey one of my favorite manga. I reread this so many time that I lost count. Kyou’s the ideal boyfriend/husband. He teases misao but he’s still so caring and his love for her is beyond words. I always come back to this manga after some time bcs of how good the story, the art and everything else is. Kyou and misao are in their own world when they’re together, they literally have so many lovey dovey moments that satisfy my hopeless romantic self. The chocolate spread moment will always be my all time favorite and their first time together still gives me shivers. The scene was so erotic and feral? kyaaa I could feel all the pent up frustration. I’ve never seen a man restraining himself so hard from making love to his loved one. It’s so sweet knowing how much desires her but he still controls himself for her sake ahhhh. Kyou is lowkey my teenage crush loool I love LOVE his cheeky side and i’m always weak for a bishounen in a kimono. I need me a sexy tengu too (´；ω；｀) And we got a special so many years after the end! That’s how good this manga was. It really left a deep on the readers. I’ll always remember this manga fondly (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡

This is one of my faves!!! The nostalgia I feel just thinking about this shoujo… I can’t put it into words. The way hana smiles at vivi and the way he looks at her is something that i feel deep in my heart every time i read this manga again!! I love this couple so much, because their love for each other is something that also the people around them (felten, eleanor ecc...) see but don't necessarily understand; it's like hana and vivi live in their own world and i love this!! Even though countless shoujos have released, I still come back here from time to time just to feel its warmth and magic again. The world built in this manga is something I haven’t experienced before while still so familiar to me. I've been coming back for almost a decade now and my heart still aches for these two.
