A sci-fi or supernatural type of story where two boys with powers are sent into certain situations to protect children. One has visual prowess the other can speak with animals. One mistrusts adults and relies only on the other boy when he is willing to close his eyes. They get justice against a teacher who thought herself a protector of victims of bullies. The teacher is killed for being a murderer.
