I'm choosing to believe the protagonist was hallucinating due to trauma in the convenience store at the end. He already was paranoid entering the store and when he bumped into a stranger, he was already panicking. It makes sense that his heightened sense of paranoia lingered as he went to the register to pay. I know the author intended a tragic ending with a twist but NO. NOT TODAY SATAN. I want him to live happily ever after with Hayan!!

An absolute masterpiece I couldn't stop myself from reading this all.in one sitting! The story unfolds in such a tragically beautiful dramatic way that there's never a dull moment. The art style is exquisite and all the characters show growth and the spirit of friendship throughout it all. It's been a while since I've read something so great.
