: I would love for yall to have a traumatic past like Astina and get over it within what? Less than a year? Two years? Why is it that no grace is being given to her at all? I’ve seen this so often with complicated and REAL FL where the ML is coddled just because he’s a “green flag” while the FL is shat on. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but it’s giving misogyny/internalized misogyny. BOTH have flaws and it’s unfair imo for the ML to expect her to be able to get over the past, sort out her feelings, AND return his love for her (which I believe she does love him but is terrified of repeating the past because TRAUMA). I feel for Astina deeply
