Yaoi genre is basically just more of a fetishized version of bl ( if not all then most of them ) and I utterly despise this . A yaoi doesn't get much popularity if it's not fetishized .Who are to blame in this ? I have left the fandom a long time ago and I honestly feel like no sensible person would call themselves a part of this fandom .   1 reply

I’m okay with whatever your preferences are but it would be great if you don’t say it’s disgusting. Yaoi is something many people enjoy and of course, in a community, there will be bad people. In the end, yaoi is another form of pornography and if you don’t enjoy it, just go and read your fluffy and consensual stuff. No need to be so negat......   2 reply

I honestly ignore everyone that gets on my nerves on this community, which isn't easy, but it's the only way to enjoy something you like. Tryna block off everyone else, especially since I consider yaoi/josei/yuri just a hobby of mine and I wanna read in peace. So personally I read them, but I try to detach myself as much as I can from the community......   2 reply

But to be fair, yaoi is the gay equivalent of hentai, which means it's usually smut and covers different fetishes. Although I agree that many readers in the yaoi community just go overboard with their seme uke bull, in the end it's porn and it comes on different shapes and forms :B   1 reply
