To get motivated I first have to tell myself that this I am studying so I can be less dumb and it's for my future. ( i did a major fuck up this year and I want to fix it so i have to study well) then listen to some motivating wongs for five mins and FORCE myself to pick up a book. Forcing yourself is the only way you can study if you procrastinate......   reply

Personally I work better under pressure, when there is like 2 weeks left before exams and I haven't done a single thing yet I start to get scared and study real fast. When I still want to procrastinate I compare myself to others who are like "I'm done with my revisions!!", like I hate being left behind lol   reply

i procrastinate so much too, but one advice i can give that works for me is to strictly divide your working/studying space from your relax space (home) Try making a schedule and set times for example three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, i suggest to go outside to an open library for students and use it, seeing so many stude......   reply

What worked for me was constantly reminding myself that I'd dishonour my family if I failed/got bad grades. My grades were great   reply

If you commute then study there or at school. If you can’t do that then study at home with motivation of just being better than others or not embarrassing yourself. Works for me. Also confidence is really most of the success. Idk if I should be really giving this advice though since I barely study but get good grades.   reply

There's really different methods to study, well I'm no academic achiever but I atleast keep my grades average/above average (i consider 79 or 2.0 as fail even if it's not). But having 2 siblings that are academic achievers, they have common habits: 1. Good memory - i honestly fail at this too, i can only stock science and math in my head, history ......   1 reply

Different situation but I remember during start of Covid I had to motivate myself to get stuff done when it felt like every class I had assumed they were the only class I had and kept giving out assignments like candy. Basically what I did was I wrote out all of my assignments/tests out on an index card in the order of when they were due. I’d mar......   reply

Am not an academic achiever lol but honestly I find it really helpful to study with groups or in the library. The fastest way I’ve absorbed info is by literally presenting it so I just pretend I have a presentation and have to ”over prepare”myself with information that I need to remember for the exam. Studying with people is really helpful ca......   reply

I simply gave up, succumb to the procrastination lord and choose art lmfao...i dont wanna do meth or sience any longer. I used to like being on top of the class but now it just feels like a burden. But something that helped me pass was cutting off my phone. Choose books over online pdf etc. Or print it out and thrown ur phone away. Seriously. The......   1 reply
