In my opinion, why the bible did not mention other planets was because, God was focused on the creation of life and planet Earth. It wouldn't make sense why the bible all of a sudden started talking about the creation of other planets when God was gonna literally populate Earth and not a random planet. The bible is not supposed to be taken literally. It's was written by a bunch of men that even though they were inspired by God, God wouldn't explain everything to them because they wouldn't be able to understand.
