Getting Piercings

Maybe it stings a little just as the needle pierces. But it's very brief. It's much like getting a shot, but the results are prettier. I've gotten two piercings in one ear, three in the other (one is a helix), a tongue piercing and one in the navel. The least "painful" was the navel and helix. A gun isn't safe to use because it is VERY hard to clean. I usually clean my piercings with sea salt and warm water or an antiseptic spray. I never touch them unless I've washed my hands thoroughly or spray with antiseptic. And I try to keep them dry until they have properly healed. My friend got those two places pierced with a needle. They'll give you instructions to clean your piercings and avoid infections. Her piercings healed just fine. Also, I'm pretty sure the guy making her piercings strongly recommended the needle as he had more control over it and less risks of infection. I actually got my ear lobes pierced with a gun and it healed perfectly! No infections or anything of that sort but you should probs get yours done with a needle. Just my two cents ╮(￣▽￣)╭   1 reply

please don't get any piercings with a gun! using a needle is 100% safer as using a piercing gun can increase the chance of infection tenfold, the results don't look as good, and it's really fucking painful and traumatizing to your body. i have 9 piercings - including 4 cartilage and 1 septum piercing. septum was the easiest to heal since it's the......   reply
