Shotacon in a sexual context makes me really uncomfortable. Rape and sexual harassment is, sadly, common in manga, especially of the BL genre. But shotacon makes me uncomfortable, as it is almost always between a shota and an adult, and reminds me of pedophillia, so I prefer not to read it. I don't care what you do, but it's not my cup of tea.   reply

I personally do not like shota but being a shotacon doesn't automatically make you a pedophile. There are a lot of people that enjoy yaoi but do not necessarily enjoy gay porn with real people. For me, it depends. I don’t like when rape is involved. My favorite shota manga are the ones that don’t have sex until the boy grows up. Ex: Sayonara Alpha. I’m a SebaCiel shipper, so I can’t sit here and say that shota yaoi is wrong..I would be a hypocrite. When I read stuff like this, I prefer to think of it as an art form..I can understa......   reply
