i hate direct confrontation so i just look straight at them for a few seconds without saying anything before changing the subject, most of the time (if they didnt mean it) they feel the need to clarify. it also helps the others in thr group notice their passive aggressiveness instead of it getting lost in the convo jokingly calling them out on it ......   reply
