It definitely helped me. It just depends on your therapist on how it'd work out. I struggled with mental health greatly back in 2024 but manage to be happy in 2025 throughout. I managed to fix some of my friendships and got closure. Not all of them though which is for the best. I don't like the person I once was and I'm actively trying to change my......   reply

I found it to be really helpful. Back then I was only seeing a psychiatrist and got prescribed meds but since I moved to a diff country, I found meds to be really expensive so I had to pivot and take free counselling. I was hesitant at first because I am self-aware as well and thought that counselling would be just a waste of time. However I was ac......   reply

I'm ooooold and been through it all. Therapy absolutely helped during my self destructive teenage years. Well into my college years shit hit the fan and therapy helped again. I literally couldn't think for myself, I suffered a lot and had zero support, crawling back to a therapist helped me build a plan and accountability checkpoints. It only took ......   reply

Everyone needs therapy at some point. Literally saved my life. But it's always good to start with meds to make therapy more effective.   reply

It was helpful but also it wasn't the only thing I was doing to address my depression: books, social experiences, responsible and informed substance use, asking for help, journaling and long walks all helped me heal. Don't be afraid to ask for a referral to a different therapist if the one you have isn't working out - you shouldn't have to worry ......   reply

My own therapy experiences have never been good. I always felt they saw me as a source of income. When I went to a psychiatrist, I felt they were just trying to get rid of me by giving me medication. When I went to a psychologist, I felt they saw me as a source of income and tried to prolong sessions with unnecessary details. I had suicidal thought......   reply
