Honestly, people who fetishise gay people, should really not be reading yaoi, but it is wrong to judge the many who do not over the actions of the few who do. As long as the yaoi itself isn't fetishising and the reader is supportive of the LGBT+ community, it's completely wrong to destroy a genre over what might be.   2 reply

I am LGBT+ myself, and whilst I sort-of get where you're coming from, also think about what "it's just fiction" means.
