I started going to intensive Japanese language school in my local university in 2009 after high school as preparation to attend Japan university for engineering degree. i've learned a bit on my own and i'm taking lessons online, but i'm also going to take some classes next year c: so far i've only nailed down the basics like how hirigana, katakana and kanji work and a few phrases, but nothing too big yet. i've also started learning a bit of korean, but not too much. i plan to learn it after i get the hang of japan......   2 reply

Although I understand enough, I still marked this as "To-Do", simply because I want to learn more. I'm at basic conversation level after self-teaching myself, but I plan on improving more once I finish the Spanish classes I'm taking.   2 reply

I went to Chinese school on the weekends for about 6-7 years and I stopped about 2-3 years ago, but I still remember how to read and write a lot of the characters. I'm learning Korean, first because I want to, second because I need to. University I'm going to in two years time is in Seoul so I need to be on at least conversational level. Korean is actually easier than it looks. It takes a bit of time because with their writing system you need to know lots of vocabulary to read fluently. Other than that it's o......   reply

Little bit of Korean! Easier than it seems, really nice with interesting grammar. Alphabet is fonetic and can be mastered perfectly in a week if given some hard work. They use some chinise signs but rarely. Best to learn in Korea as it takes some time to learn to distingush sounds not really present in European languages. Main effort should be put ......   reply

Japanese - So that I can watch latest raw episodes of ongoing animes without waiting for the subs & the animes which doesn't even have subs to begin with. Chinese & Korean - Because most of the RAWS floating around the internet are either Chinese or Korean.   reply
