Actually Japanese women were labeled "rotten girl" because men thought woman reading lgbt content were unfit for marriage and "rotten", also I'm pretty sure Japanese women reclaimed it by making a play on the word or just changing the meaning completely to just "woman who enjoys bl." fujoshi 腐女子 means rotten girl, its self deprecating in the first place, the whole concept of being a fujoshi is dehumanizing and fetishizing mlm/nblm "i'm a fujo but i dont fet-" don't call yourself a fujoshi then.
