Hi! Frenchie here ! It's rude. At best bad humor. It's an abbreviation of the word "pédéraste" which was also used, if I'm not wrong, in a pejorative way. I just checked (curiosity. From my knowledge it's a derogatory slang for gay people. The English equivalent would be fag-got. So yeah it's kinda offensive especially if they say sale (dirty) before it. reply

(question for french people, or any person who is familiar with it and knows about it. I just need some answers, thank you.. )

So, I'm living in France for some years now and I did hear a lot in my family the word "PD" (I believe it's actually "pédé", but if I'm wrong, please correct me) for describing gay people and it sounded extremely rude to me.. for this reason I have never used it, but I hear it often and I got genuinely curious if it's an offensive, derogatory word, (like the f-word in English for instance), or it's just a simple/respectful/positive word for gay people..

And I did google it first, but it didn't really help me..

here are my tips, they don't work now because i have insomnia and it has gradually gotten worse, but if you aren't diagnosed it most likely will work read a book before going to bed no caffeine eat/spray melatonin at night reply

I don't necessarily lack sleep, I just live like a vampire lol. At my worst I slept at 11:00-12:00 and woke up at 17:00 for an entire week. That week passed me by so fast idk what even happened. I somehow managed to change that back to sleeping around 2:00-300 (which is a HUGE accomplishment for me) but due to covid it's back to 4:00-5:00. I hav...... reply
