It was a huge trend online a few years ago but I never tried it thinking it was some dumb hoax. I would imagine it’s similar to lucid dreaming. This isn’t nerd slang lmao they’re just terms to differentiate between comics written in (or by an author who is) Chinese, Korean and Japanese respectively. Like for example ‘donghua’ would be Chinese animated works, whereas in Japan they would simply call it ‘anime’.   reply
