Formals are weird. Like I think they’d be better if it was more relaxed and you could dress up if you wanted. Like I wasn’t allowed to wear my docs & had to wear a fancy dress which was not my vibe at all. In retrospect I never enjoyed formals. I went to my first prom as a freshman and it sucked. we have the exact same dances except the sadie hawkings. But, a tradition that's done before homecoming is that the girls in my school would wear something that's called a 'mum', sounds funny, but it's called that bc the flower in the center is a chrysanthemum.
