Could you forgive your child's murderer

Idk why but I watched a video of a mother forgiving her daughter's murderer. The murderer did his jail time and said he regretted it, but personally, I would never be able to forgive the murderer.
However, when I asked my friends and some other people, I actually got mixed responses. Some said that forgiving is better because you can let go of your grudge and get a weight off your shoulders, while others strongly denied even considering forgiveness.

I really doubt whether he’s real or not, but if he is I do not like him very much.
There are so many disgusting and horrible things going on in this world for him to just do absolutely nothing about it?
I know our “reward” is going to heaven, but I find it disgusting how he “loves” us so much that he put us in a world that so many people ...... reply
