So I've been reading manga (only BL) for like 3 years. And these past few months I realize that I've became really picky. I need to find this and that character with this and that kind of good plot. Can't be like I used to be where I can read almost everything. Suck.

Sometimes I'm stiil reading... tho got bored easily in the middle (the good ones I found recently haven't translated yet TT)

Anyway, perhaps I get bored not just for manga but also regular books (novel), haha.

Anyone feel the same?

Hey! I recently got back into writing and I was wondering in anyone would like to be buddies with me. We could share our work with each other and give each other constructive critism. I used to only read complete work as well. It's easier to get myself immersed in the story and to think about the characters along the way... But recently, i feel that for ongoing webtoons, there's this weird sense of accomplishment that you feel upon seeing a chapter update after those wait. Especially for stories that i really like and get update......   reply

i used to read incomplete all the time but there are several times i've found ones where it just stops half-way and it never updates again, it's just depressing so now i will only read incomplete if the story is long enough so i'm sure that it wont stop half way.   2 reply

I'm the same. Waiting really kills the flow of the story for me, when I read it all at once it doesn't bother me if nothing much happens for several chapters, in fact, I can appreciate it sometimes. But if you wait for every chapter it's completely different, you feel cheated if something major doesn't happen every other chapter. Not to mention rea......   reply

There was a time where i was like that, but i ended up reading most of the good completed story so i started reading ongoing story. Still, i understand you, it's really frustrating to have to wait weeks, months, and sometimes even years before there's any real progress in the relationship.   reply

I try not to read mangas or webtoons that aren't completed. Especially if it's going to take a long time for the next chapter to come. There's a lot of ongoing ones that I really want to read but waiting for them to finish is better because then you can just binge read it in one go.   reply

Yeah me too. Sometimes when I get a notification from a manga, which I didn't read for long, I have to read from the beginning bc I forgot what the story was. It's really annoying. Most of the time I just read some oneshots or some with 2 volume.   reply
