Yeah, there's a lot of shoujo like that, but generally speaking they all have their own shtick. Honestly I can't get enough of this stuff, so I wouldn't have a problem even if they were almost identitcal. I read shounen ai exclusively so can't speak for yaoi tropes. Haven't seen most of them.
