They aren't strong. They are badly written characters written by authors who have sex fetishes and some very therapy worthy issues. After reading a certain amount of BLs, it becomes pretty clear most of these authors have never spoken to a gay man, that's how unrealistic and asspull their writing is. Unrealistically strong, I feel like they are written that way on purpose.
