Although both are great, I personally prefer manga to manhwa. The paneling and black and white colour is something I’m my comfortable with since I’ve been reading manga for years. There are so much more manga than manhwa out there since Korean manhwa just sprouted. Regarding the shorter series, it might be me but I like shorter series due to th......   reply

Korean webtoon feels exactly like what most people are looking for: a really dumb read While some premises sounds genuinely interesting, the story will be done in the very same fashion almost every other BL you've already read. The characters are mostly walking archetypes acting like something out of those horrible teenage movies. The story will e......   2 reply

Japanese manga no question!! I read almost all of the webtoons and manwha's here but I noticed the Kdrama vibes and the stories were came from hetero stories recycled to become Bl. There's a reason why I hate kdrama. I feel the kdrama vibes from the webtoons here and It's just a turn off for me. I read about a manga with a monk,a barber,a chef,a co......   reply

Both! Mangas sometimes lack things that manhwa has and vise versa.   reply

Manga, hand down. Manhwa are SOOO dramatic, drawn out. Characters ARE NOT more mature. Why do we need this useless drama? Why do we aboslutely need an EVIL character? Why is this so stupid? Why does one of the character must be rich while the other is poor? What's the obsession with that shit? Why must the characters look like straight porn actors ......   reply

Complex (Yaoi), the art was meh, but the story was great and completely hit me in the feels! I don't cry easily so I think this and Let Dai (beautiful art, heart breaking story!) might be the only Mangas I've ever cried to while reading.   reply

Disclaimer: this is my personal opinion and might be offensive to those who like Korean webtoons. So if you're easily triggered, just skip over this. Also this is LONG. I like Japanese mangas hands down. First and foremost, I like all comics regardless of where and what format they come from/in. Manhwa, webtoons, mangas etc. Second, I have to agre......   4 reply

Honestly, I prefer Korean webtoons because of the sheer fact that they're more realistic a majority of the time. I'm a gay dude so I read a lot of yaoi/shonen-ai, and the Japanese versions tend to have the stereotypical smaller ultra feminine bottom and it's really annoying. In Korean webtoons, nothing's really the same, and there's a TON more dive......   2 reply
