As a gay person myself, I don't think that BL is more popular than straight romance. I mean it's probably more popular on this site, but overall? No. We barely get any gay rep in media so most of us are basically scouring for content lol. I also get how most BL fans, despite being women, can be misogynistic. I don’t know how you’ve come to this conclusion, but BL is definitely not as popular as straight romance, this site mainly focuses on BL that’s probably why you have this misconception. Just change site, a more neutral one and you’ll see that the community will change as well.   1 reply
