There's nothing wrong with writing rape into a story or using porn to realise rape fantasies. However, I think people need to learn to differentiate fiction from reality. People also need to realise that rape is a form of abuse, and one of the worst things someone can be subjected to. People don't rape people because they "love them". Rape happ......   reply

between real life rape and rape fantasies/stories. It's actually pretty normal to have rape fantasies and not unhealthy. (Yep, you can look that one up folks). The obvious difference is how the fantasy and real life is so different in experience. Obviously no one would want to be raped by someone they didn't want/like/find attractive. Rape is ficti......   reply

Rape in mangas/webtoons/etc are for mature audiences! People forget that you have to be over 18 to buy these. They are not meant for public sites like mangago. And many amazing people read rape in fiction. Rape fantasies are common! And yes, they know and understand the concept of reality and fantasy. These people who judge are disgusting. If you w......   1 reply

A lot of people are making the argument that "the readers should understand the divide between fiction and reality", which is a valid argument, however, ultimately something out of the author's control. Most people here know that rape is not good in real life, however, some people might not - they may be too young, (I've seen 13 yr old here) or jus......   1 reply

Works of fiction that portrays or contains taboo subjects such as rape, pedophelia, incest, etc. I think what matters the most is how the readers would accept the art presented to them. Its VERY IMPORTANT that the readers understand the divide between fiction and reality. The problem is not everyone does e......   2 reply

People know it’s wrong. However, rape fantasy is very real. The reason why it’s popular is because many people get off on rape. This does not mean they think rape is romantic in real life! The creators create content for mature audiences who have these fantasies and don’t get triggered. Rapists are raised to think it’s okay to disrespect o......   reply

Consent is hot rape is not. For me that shit is a turn off. I immediately lose any respect for characters who force their partner. If they want a loving relationship don’t fucking rape them. Only time I enjoy it is if it’s a non-con hentai. We’re not looking for long-term wholesome romance. We’re looking at hardcore fuck. Kink-(humiliat......   reply

Never bothered me. Almost all of yaoi I started with had rape. I wasn't even searching for it, it just happened to have that in the story. Same goes for 2 out of 3 of my first Japanese bl movies. I feel like 10 years ago this wasn't a subject in the yaoi circles. A simple warning was all that was needed, now even warnings don't work on some people......   2 reply
