This website is my favourite thing in this world and that's me saying something. This the info I just copied. Anyway, find a word that sticks out to you and tell me. (Please note, these words are not in the dictionary, these are words that have been created to make a change in the human language. So that's that.)

Here: The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a compendium of invented words written by John Koenig. Each original definition aims to fill a hole in the language—to give a name to emotions we all might experience but don’t yet have a word for.

All words in this dictionary are new. They were not necessarily intended to be used in conversation, but to exist for their own sake; to give a semblance of order to a dark continent, so you can settle it yourself on your terms, without feeling too lost—safe in the knowledge that we’re all lost.

In one dream's scene right before I woke up, the setting with very long wooden planks over the shallow sea and then I noticed some naked guy, prolly tied with rope or not, who seemed to be engaged in a sexual act on top of one of the planks...? In another dream's scene, in the fourth-grade classroom setting, somehow I have no shirt one and had two ......   reply

Totally remember a weird dream/nightmare i had as a child where giant snapping turtles invaded my hometown and my brother and I made a run for it after everyone else had been eaten/snapped in half. It ended in one of those cliché situations where one of us tripped and the other turned around while the snapping turtles are right on our heels. Whoev......   2 reply

Hi everyone! I would love to read about you're own experiences with dreams that made an impact on yourselves (good ones, bad ones, funny ones...).

I'll share mine: (sad, tw: death)

So, the day I knew one of my most important friends suffered a sudden death, he appeared in my dreams. We were at a high school and he was giving me all of his important pertenences, telling me that he wanted me to have them. But I was refusing all of it. I didn't want to accept them because that I knew that was a farewell and he was saying goodbye.

I woke up pretty anxious, kinda crying, thinking that yes, I was not ready to say goodbye and that dream really made a big impact on me till this day.
