Fat guy jokes. Shit gets so old so fast.
But one comedy cliche/trope I've ALWAYS hated are the ones where the husbands act flirty or crushing on other women and HAHA the wife gets mad. For example: I like Modern Family, but I fucking HATE Phil because he was always crushing on his wife's step-mom IN FRONT OF HIS WIFE! And it's supposed to be come...... reply

What is the worst trope/cliche in relation to comedy in media?
I think the worst "joke" a piece of media can do is to have a trope or a cliche in their story, and then call it out as if they in on it, meanwhile nothing is done to really subvert said trope or cliche and it's just there. For hypothetical ex. some guy in the main party ironically points out how they're doing a 'friendship is magic' thing but carries on with plot like normal. Hahahaha now laugh at how unoriginal we are. This shit is why I dropped Murder Drones.
Similar thing with lampshading, like yeah, yeah nonsensical thing is happening get on with it.
A runner up would be gimmicky characters. It's a case-by-case basis, but most of the times whenever there's a gimmick character their act will get old real fast. To the point where they're not even characters anymore, it's all on their stupid gimmick.

Here U Are is finally on Webtoon but their names are in korean!?! Like wtf WHO IS HYEONHO, WHO TF IS HYEONHO. THIS IS SO UPSETTING, some ppl will know them as their korean names and will think that Here U Are is a manhwa (korean) rather a manhua (Chinese). Idk it feels so wrong, it feels like those tiktokers rebranding Chinese cultures/trends as so...... 9 reply
