Losing Your Best Friend Sucks

ive lost a lot of close friends too and it sucks and i just wanna say that tho it seems tough to imagine, stuff somehow gets better and you find other people, even if those other people are not them, and even if there is a space left in ur heart from that person leaving, it will get filled, there is plenty of love in this world and i hope everyone ......   reply

When you lose a friendship it means the friendship had some growth of some kind. Either you grew or your friend grew. In the first case my friend grew. I was toxic and wanted a relationship and my best friend did not. This was in highschool. Five years later, we're friends again because said best friend reached out to me and we've both grown. its genuinely shit bc thats also your support circle yk but i've just realised you need to accept it and move on because of the trauma impact to your other friendships which is bad bc its not their fault but gotta heal and grow and keep trusting and believing in ppl but also don’t let anyone take advantage of you   reply

It’s even worse when you’re best friend was your lover. In the end I basically got him out of his social anxiety shell, me getting bullied as well meant that he was getting bullied as well. Not everybody is gonna like you, that's just the cold harsh truth. But amidst all that, you are still special in your own way and it is still their loss if they do not care for such an amazing person such as yourself. From my experience, this could possibly just be a temporary thing and ya'll will return to your friendship but if its the other way ......   2 reply

Same thing is happening to me. She moved to another city an hour away and now we don't talk much. I know that we're still friends and we love each other but I really don't know how our friendship will be after a while. And the fact that she's moving to the uk does not help.   1 reply
