my dad said "yak" and laughed at me when i told him "i might not be straight." my mom had a terrified look on her face when dad told her about our talk so i just told them i was joking i was testing the waters to see if they wouldnt ridicule me if i come out to them, so i went back to the closet immediately after experiencing that lmao.   reply

This was never said straight to my face, but it's the most hurtful thing that has happened to me. For people who don't know I've been out of the closet since I was nine years old. I don't really know if I'm entitled to answer this since I'm heteroromantic (ace) but I would like to say that life is really easier for "normal" heterosexuals compared to others. I've also faced situations where people say to me that "you're just confused", "asexuality is not real". Just know that people like that just don't deserve your attention......   reply

its impossible to be heterophobic, you can only be prejudice, just like how you can't be racist to white people, only prejudice. they don't have a history of being beaten, murdered and discriminated against for being straight, they were also the ones who CREATED the hatred towards us. don't try to act as if "heterophobia" is real, its just pathetic......   1 reply
