Honestly I think the fetishization of East Asians and people not meaning other parts of Asia when they say Asia are really two different things. They don't occur for the same reasons. Hon just do whatever you feel is best at the time. As others have said, while you have every right to be "out and proud", there are plenty of others (myself included) who are openly gay in that we'll answer when asked but otherwise don't seem like it based on the way we speak/dress/act.
