It's been 11 years since I started playing the piano. I really love playing it however, I have gotten really scared of performing in front of people and I'm not confident in my performances anymore. I think it's due to the fact I didn't do so well in my performance exam and my mother was really hard on me for it as well as me being hard on myself f......   2 reply

I have been playing the piano for 10 years now. For most of that time, I absolutely hated it. After every year I said that I was going to quit, but I always continued. It has been my childhood dream to play the piano, when I first started, I loved it, but as the years went by and the songs got harder, I stopped liking it and hated it more and more......   2 reply

I did a year of classes after taking years to decide which instrument to play. Then I quit because those classes werent helping much, and taught myself some stuff. I'd still like to play but I currently don't have a piano. I really regret not being able to decide when my mom asked me if, and which instrument I wanted to learn when I was 6 yrs old. ......   reply

I took a semester of piano lessons in college (but stopped because college is expensive) But that was enough to get me started, I can learn from youtube now and play on my own. I can only play "For River - Johnny's version" from "To the Moon" I don't play much, since I don't have much time to do so   reply

I did it when I was six because my mom forced me but I wasn't into it. After watching Nodame Cantabile I regretted not continuing it   reply

I took lessons for 13 years and I still love it. It relaxes me and helps me clear my mind. It has become a habit to play every time I panic about something (a test or a competition). There are only few things that can calm me to this extend.   reply

I do. Used to. I took classes when I heard someone play "The Entertainer". I stopped going to piano classes when I reached grade three. I can read notes but not as fast as I used to. I can't make my own compositions or do sudden adlibs. But I can play a song easily if I just get a hold of the sheet music or if I see tutorials performing the song.   reply

I was about 7 when I went to music school. You know, I was a kid so you can't really decide what you want to do. Back then I thought I want to play the piano and so I did. I've never enjoyed any minute of it. I didn't like things that I played, never practiced by myself either. I played for 4 years and the moved out from my city so I changed school......   1 reply
