12 y/o me was tired of the typical shojo being a guy more beautiful than the girl. so I started being obsessed with genderbending stories for some reason and from there I kept on accidentally reading BL. my baby brain was like "omg look they're equally beautiful and the stories are more interesting!" and the rest is history. reply

I don't remember my 1st BL but in upper secondary (13 or 14y old) I started to ship pokemon dudes (red x green, gold x silver). I found some beautiful fanart and then even some dojinshis and from there I found the sites that were full of BL :'D Now I'm almost 27 and the bl obsession continues 8) reply

My first encounter with BL was with a shonen ai called "a guy like you" , I was simply curious when I started reading it , I'm kinda grateful it wasn't a hard-core yaoi like the ones I'm reading now , cause that would have just traumatized me for life. 1 reply

Just out of curiosity . I didn’t even know what Yaoi meant back then in 2012. I started reading with ten count at first and it intrigued me to the point that I started reading other different manga. Now it has become a kind of guilty pleasure for me. reply

it all started with some dj pictures i found on a random amv video back in 2011 after that i did some research and my first manga was zetsuai .Haru wo Daite Ita i also found out some ovas of both yaoi and kinda got addicted to it, the rest is history.... reply
