No. I would confront them upfront because I'm not afraid of hurting their feelings. If they choose to guilt-trip you with their fake suicidal thoughts, fine. Just reciprocate that guilty feeling by acknowledging that they're being a liar upfront and remind them 1 person dies from suicide every 40 seconds.
