In Germany, or at least the part where I live in, it's quite normal for teens to get tattoos and piercings. A little one doesn't matter at all and the bigger ones would just get some curious glances from others. Just get one where no one can see it. E.g your back or your chest. And to answer your question in the UK it's quite common. No one really cares if you have a tattoo or not. in my country having a tattoo is getting popular..but it's ok if you have at most 3 little ones, it must not attract too much attention.. if you are like covered in tattoos or if you have a really big one people are more likely to look at you weirdly.   3 reply

I live in California, and tattoos are not a big deal here at all. I work as a teaching aid and plenty of people I work with have visable tattoos and colored hair. I got my first tattoo at 19, and my mom was against it, but she got over it. My mom is pretty open-minded though. Personally, there is no special meaning surrounding my tattoos. I'm Asian-American and here in America (or at the very least, in Texas) having a tattoo is normal. No one really shuns people for having tattoos. Well, if your parents are strict, then they'll shun you, depending on your age, but still. Texas really doesn't give a shit if you have a tattoo or not.
